Good morning,
I am an adult social worker in Portsmouth Rehabilitation and Reablement Team (PCC). I am trying to book an interpreter for a client I am working with. Translation required is from Maltese to English. The usual interpreting service we use is unable to provide a Maltese translator. I require a face to face translation at the client’s home which is in the North of Portsmouth City. The client has dual sensory loss and video translation is not appropriate.
I would require a booking for 1.5 hours.
Is this something your service could support with?
Thanking you in advance
Claudine Rees
Senior social worker
Hi Claudine, EMAS is a term time only service and we didn’t see your message until now. Unfortunately, we don’t have any staff who can speak Maltese. Also, We are not an interpreting service and don’t normally work with adult social care.
Sorry we could assist.
